There was a lot of demand by creative people to photograph Koelhuis. This prompted the Photo-op Challenge organized during Dutch Design Week. Inspired photography and architecture enthusiasts grabbed the opportunity to capture Koelhuis from their very own perspective. The results are all impressive. Many participants were charmed by the monumental main hall – with its columns and play of light. Others captured the suggestive atmosphere of the dark basement and the signs of its “rebel” days, some focused on the raw post-industrial details of the building such as the steel staircase and the elevators.
