Memor is Koelhuis Eindhoven’s first commissioned art production created by Lumus Instruments and Dammes Kieft. Memor invites the audience to reflect on the hectic lifestyle we are pressured to live by, and its effects on our memory. The Latin word memor means ‘mindful’ or ‘unforgetting’. With this title, the artists highlight the importance to preserve the meaning of memory in a high-paced society. The film conveys a sense of hope, the belief shared by the artists and Koelhuis that technology can have a positive synergic impact on the human experience. For Koelhuis Eindhoven, Memor is also a visual metaphor for the transformative experiences that the venue will offer its future visitors through immersion in space, light and sound, opportunities to slow down and create meaningful and lasting memories.
