Challenge
Combining Density, Care and Community in One Building
KPVM02 had to accommodate a large and diverse residential programme while remaining humane and approachable in scale. The challenge was to combine standard housing with supported living, shared facilities, and mobility infrastructure—without creating separation or hierarchy between residents.
Designed for long-term value, KPVM02 targets an A++ energy label and incorporates green roofs, loggias, and natural daylight penetration throughout the building. A strong emphasis is placed on cycling and shared mobility: residents have access to extensive bicycle parking facilities and dedicated spaces for mobility aids, while car parking is intentionally absent to encourage sustainable living.

Approach
Living in Green as an Organising Principle
Group A approached KPVM02 as a layered residential building where landscape, architecture, and social use reinforce one another. A clear spatial structure separates public, shared, and private zones, while green plinths, communal spaces, and carefully designed circulation areas support everyday comfort and interaction. The stepped massing responds directly to its urban context, creating balance between infrastructure and living quality.
