Challenge
Welcoming architectural character
The challenge was to integrate a wide range of residential typologies and care-related facilities within a single structure, while maintaining clarity, comfort, and architectural quality. The building needed to function efficiently without feeling institutional or fragmented.

Approach
Organising complexity around openness and flexibility
The design uses a clear spatial structure with a central atrium to organise movement and interaction. Flexible ground-floor spaces accommodate changing functions over time, while the residential floors provide calm, comfortable living environments that balance privacy with connection.
