challenge

Challenge

Creating livability and community in a high-rise environment

The challenge was to design a tall residential building that feels welcoming rather than anonymous. With a large number of homes stacked vertically, the building needed to offer comfort, identity, and opportunities for social connection without sacrificing efficiency.

approach

Approach

Layering private living with shared spaces

The design combines efficient residential floors with collective spaces positioned at key levels within the building. By introducing communal living rooms and prioritising functional layouts, the building supports both privacy and interaction, allowing residents to shape their own balance between independence and community.

impact

A residential tower that supports connected urban living

This building strengthens Brainpark Phase 3 by adding density while maintaining quality, accessibility, and social cohesion.

The mix of apartment types and the presence of shared living spaces encourage interaction between residents with different lifestyles and backgrounds. Communal areas lower the threshold for social contact and help foster a supportive residential community.
